Drycleaning by Dorothy was founded in 1953 by Frank and Dorothy Ward. The Devaney family, purchased the business in 1976 and has been at the helm ever since. The Devaney family works hard to maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction. Each one of our stores offers same day service six days a week and we’re open Sundays for added convenience. What About Bob?

Bob Devaney, president of Drycleaning by Dorothy has been involved in the industry for over 30 years. While attending Northeastern University he operated a dry cleaning home delivery route part time. In 1976 he and his Dad purchased Dorothys.

• 1976-current: CEO of RTD Inc dba/ Drycleaning by Dorothy
• 1985-1990: Founder and President of Fresh N Clean, a 13 store dry cleaning chain
• 1999-2004: Founder and President of Lapels, a 25 store dry cleaning franchise
• 2006-current: Founder and President of The Cleaner Spot, currently 9 stores
